BULLFIGHTER. 2000

Director: Rune Bendixen

A good cast bumbles around in this film, hampered by a script that is an incompetent mess.

It strives to be an obsessively Catholic magic realist macho adventure, but the author(s) mistook fantasy as an excuse to be merely irrational. Still, it had enough quasi-Robert-Rodriguez moments of violence that quite entertained me.

Had a better writer who cared about the script gotten hold of it before filming started, I think this might've been fixed enough to have been at least an oddity with some merit, but as it stands, too many points in the story come off as merely stupid.
