Terror Toons
TERROR TOONS. 2002
Director: Joe Castro

Joe Castro is the director of a handful of ultra-lame super-stupid Z-budget horror films such as Legend of the Chupacabra (2000) & Blood Sisters (2003). I had been forwarned that Terror Toons was if anything even worse than Joe's usual low quality. But would I listen?

I suppose this would qualify as one of those films so lacking in talent, so moronic in execution, that it almost entertains on the sheer hutzpa of anyone ever having claimed it's a film.

Frankly I refused to believe the reviewers & expected even if it was bad, it couldn't be that bad. To me, the idea of maniacal cartoon characters inflicting their cartoony gore-horrors on the living world is a brilliant exploitation film idea.

Plus the stills of the cartoon psychopaths were wonderfully appalling. This just had to be one sicko laugh riot, & I was ready.

Well, the idea may have been charming in a disgusting kitchy cheapy sort of way, but the execution resulted in a complete snoozer. After twenty minutes bored out of my gord, the rest was fast-forward all the way.
